Tesla is partnering with Zurich as an insurance provider for customers in Australia.
“EV uptake in Australia is rapidly growing as consumers continue to recognize the importance of lowering their environmental impact. Ensuring these customers receive quality insurance protection is critical for supporting the national transition journey,” said Justin Delaney Zurich Australia and New Zealand’s Chief Executive Officer.
Zurich Australia entered into a partnership with Tesla to become the automaker’s preferred electric vehicle (EV) insurance provider for local customers. Tesla Model Y and Model 3 owners in Australia may avail Zurich’s InsureMyTesla product. They will be able to access Zurich’s offering through the Tesla app.
“Zurich has a long-standing reputation for protecting its customers in Australia and across the globe. As the preferred provider for InsureMyTesla, Zurich offers Tesla customers affordable and convenient insurance, all accessible within the Tesla App.
“With InsureMyTesla, Tesla ownership becomes even more secure, giving more Australians the confidence to switch to electric vehicles,” said Thom Drew, Tesla’s Country Director in Australia and New Zealand.
InsureMyTesla covers all vehicle repairs, including glass, charging equipment, and batteries. Repairs will be conducted by Tesla’s accredited repair shops.
